AIDSinfo® HIV/AIDS Guidelines: E-Learning Course

The AIDSinfo® Web site and mobile apps are important resources for clinicians caring for people living with HIV (PLWH). This self-paced course provides an overview of HIV-related medical practice guidelines available on the AIDSinfo Web site and mobile apps. Utilizing interactive tours, search functions, and guided practice of AIDSinfo, this CME/CE-certified course will familiarize health care professionals with HIV/AIDS Guidelines for themselves and their patients contained in these resources in order that they will be better able to use them to provide care that is congruent with the latest evidence-based best practices.

This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, physician assistants and other members of the healthcare team caring for people living with HIV/AIDS.

After participating in the activity, learners should be better able to Identify and access HIV-related medical practice guidelines on AIDSinfo, search for information within a specific guideline on AIDSinfo, and locate related patient education materials in English and Spanish to provide patients with HIV/AIDS information.

How to Enroll in the Course:

Register and complete the course through the NLM Learning Center.

Go to the NLM Learning Center registration page for the desired course:

For participants who have previously registered for a free NLM Learning Center account:

  • Log-in using your existing account
  • Click Enroll when prompted

For participants without a current NLM Learning Center account:

  • Click Register Now.
  • Complete all fields, selecting National Library of Medicine as the partition.
  • Click Register Account at the bottom right of the page.
  • Re-sign into the system and click Enroll.
